Marc Roland is founder and winemaker at Roland Wines. He spends most of his time now writing, mentoring, and creating content about the wine lifestyle, spirituality, and community. He is a proud graduate of University of Portland and University of Alaska Southwest. Marc has had careers in teaching, pastoring, and building a successful business. The purpose of this resource is to help people and organizations grow to their full potential, providing valuable insights into topics such as relationships, faith, and personal development.
He has published numerous historical articles, and developed online content that help individuals explore their potential and improve their lives. With a diverse background and adventurous spirit, Marc has engaged in various activities and occupations, bringing a wealth of experiences to his work. Arts and Culture
Arts and culture are drivers of economic and social vitality of community life. I have long been interested in art as it relates to civic pride, storytelling, and historical preservation. This section will act as a hub for those who live in the greater Longview, WA area to bring into perspective the breadth of our local organizations and people who care about art and how it impacts our lives.
The Broad Strokes Project is public arts nonprofit inviting the community to celebrate creativity in our public spaces, and share ideas and conversations- because art is better when it’s for everyone!

Downtown Advisory Committee
Marc has recently been appointed the the City of Longview’s Downtown Advisory Committee. This committee adviser the city on matters of economic vitality, livability, and vision for downtown Longview.

I want to start with something I think most of us share, even if we don’t talk about it much.
We live in a time where you can be “caught up” on everything in the world and still feel behind in your own life.
It is amazing that we carry a devise designed to interrupt us constantly, and we call it a tool!
They are supposed to help us, but most of the time they function more like very efficient attention disruptors. This is a major design flaw
And I think that’s strange. Not normal. Just familiar.
